Yoga

A bitmoji is shown. Daphne sits in lotus position with her eyes closed, against a backdrop of a deep purple lotus flower. Text reads: Hire me for yoga at work.

I’ve been studying yoga for more than 20 years, and I’ve been a teacher for more than 10 years. I earned a 20-hour teacher training certificate at YogaSpace, and I’ve studied with many world class teachers who have visited Toronto over the years.

My deepest connection with yoga is in association with Yasodhara Ashram, an amazing organization British Columbia where I’ve spent a lot of time over the years. The practices at Yasodhara go much deeper than physical poses. The practices of reflective writing and karma yoga have been especially valuable for me, as has dream yoga. I apply these practices to my work.

My identity and values as a writer and coach have been so deeply influenced by yoga that I can’t seem to describe myself without it! I include gentle movement practices in my writing life, and I also turn to reflective writing prompts to help my clients focus their minds and stay in tune with their writing selves.

I would love to visit your workplace and lead a gentle movement and writing prompt practice. This can help you and your people to be happier, healthier and more productive.
